We are now looking for a specialist nursing assistant with a care supervisor assignment for our care and nursing home in Kärna.

Job Responsibilities

As a care supervisor, your task is to ensure that residents experience influence over their daily lives and receive safe and secure care so that the elderly can live with dignity and feel well-being according to the national value base of elderly care. We will work with respect for the elderly's privacy and personal integrity and tailor care and support based on individual needs.

The role involves pedagogically supporting and developing the nursing staff to become knowledgeable, confident, and independent in their care work. It also means providing staff with tools to work based on a person-centered approach and increasing competence in interactions with residents and their relatives.

As a care supervisor, you will spend a significant part of your working hours in the units directly involved in care work. Your working hours will primarily be during the day, Monday to Friday, but evening shifts, weekend work, and night shifts may also occur. The employment rate is 100%.

The work as a specialist nursing assistant with a care supervisor assignment includes, among other things...

• Monitoring the initiation of new cases and the closure of existing cases within the units according to the social services process.
• Coordinating efforts between different professions, e.g., by participating in team meetings.
• In complex cases/situations, providing practical support in a needs-oriented and systematic approach together with the resident and the designated care contact. Based on this, it is part of the assignment to individually perform care interventions to best guide employees. The assignment also includes conducting follow-ups in these cases.
• Being part of the introduction of new employees.
• Participating in (or leading) operational meetings and reflections at the base unit.
• If necessary, being involved in Senior Alert and BPSD assessments and the establishment of response plans and other action plans.

Qualifications

For this assignment, we are looking for someone who:

• Is a trained specialist nursing assistant with 200 YH points.
• Has the ability to supervise individuals and groups.
• Possesses pedagogical skills and good collaborative abilities.
• Is well-grounded in the salutogenic approach and the national value base.
• Is well-versed in person-centered care and support.
• Has a good ability to communicate in both speech and writing.
