Property Technician – Mälardalen

RE Equity is looking for a hands-on property technician

RE Equity is a real estate company focused on long-term ownership and development of properties, including residential and community properties. We own and develop properties throughout Sweden and have a growing portfolio in Mälardalen.

We are now looking for a property technician who wants to work closely with our properties and tenants, and who thrives in a role where technology, problem-solving, and service meet.

About the role

As a property technician with us, you play an important role in ensuring that our properties operate safely, securely, and efficiently.

The work is varied and involves both planned inspections, technical operations, and practical measures in the properties. A large part of the role also involves contact with tenants, where you assist in solving problems in apartments and premises as well as handling incoming maintenance requests.

You will often be the person that tenants meet in their daily lives, and therefore service orientation and a solution-focused approach are very important.

The work involves travel between our properties in Mälardalen.

Responsibilities

Examples of tasks:

Operations and technical inspections

• Testing and inspection of fire alarms and fire protection systems
• 
  
• Testing and inspection of sprinkler systems
• 
  
• Conducting systematic fire protection work (SBA)
• 
  
• Ongoing supervision of the properties' technical systems
• 
  
• Troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues

Tenant service

• Receiving and addressing maintenance requests from tenants
• 
  
• Visiting tenants in apartments and premises to resolve technical issues
• 
  
• Performing minor repairs and maintenance work in residences
• 
  
• Ensuring that tenants receive prompt and professional assistance

Property maintenance

• Minor repairs and practical maintenance work
• 
  
• Inspection of the properties' condition and functionality
• 
  
• Reporting larger maintenance needs

Coordination

• Contact with contractors for larger measures
• 
  
• Collaboration with management and external suppliers

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience as a property technician, operations technician, or service technician
• 
  
• Has practical experience with fire alarms, sprinklers, or other safety systems
• 
  
• Has a good understanding of property technology and technical installations
• 
  
• Is independent and solution-oriented
• 
  
• Is hands-on and enjoys practical work
• 
  
• Has a service-oriented approach and enjoys tenant contact
• 
  
• Is structured and responsible
• 
  
• Has a driving license (B)

Meritorious

• Certifications or licenses related to fire alarms or sprinkler inspections
• 
  
• Experience from real estate companies or operations contractors
• 
  
• Knowledge in electricity, plumbing, or control technology
• 
  
• Experience with systematic fire protection work (SBA)
