About the position

As a property caretaker with us, you play a central role in ensuring that our residences and premises maintain a high standard, are safe, and pleasant. Your primary work area will mainly be around Uppsala and northern Stockholm, but work in other locations in the region may occur.

Your tasks

No day is the same. You plan your day independently by strategically prioritizing based on reported issues, inspections, rounds, and operational needs. The main focus is on practical craftsmanship to keep our properties in good condition. Examples of tasks include:

• Repair and maintenance: Everything from carpentry work (e.g., replacing doors, moldings, countertops) to simpler painting work and restoration after damage

• Plumbing and Technical: Replacing faucets, toilets, traps, and ensuring heating functionality

• Locks and Doors: Adjusting doors, replacing lock cylinders, and door closers

• Exterior maintenance: You are responsible for ensuring the outdoor environment is inviting and safe through lawn mowing, hedge trimming, weed control, leaf collection, and other gardening tasks

• Safety & Regulatory requirements: You handle fire protection inspections (SBA) and coordinate necessary inspections

• Project and maintenance planning: Involved in maintenance planning, procurements, and projects to ensure progress

• Communication: Daily contact with operational managers, contractors, and partners related to property issues and projects

You report continuously to the Operations and Maintenance Manager in the Northern Stockholm and Uppsala region and document your cases digitally in our property system.

To succeed in this role, you are self-driven and proactive. You see what needs to be done during your rounds and act proactively. You are service-oriented and professional in your interactions with our operational managers and residents – you are our face to the outside world! Furthermore, you are a social team player who contributes to a good atmosphere in the workplace. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with tools and has broad practical knowledge.

For this position, it is required that you:

• have a B driver's license

• have documented experience in property maintenance and repair work

• have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, to communicate with operations and document in our systems

• have good computer skills for handling our digital issue reporting

It is an advantage if you:

• have knowledge of electrical work or plumbing

Other

The position is a permanent employment with an initial probationary period. A background check will be required before employment as the work takes place in environments where children and young people are present.
