Care for People with Disabilities

Stickerskan is a group home with special service housing according to LSS and is located in Terra Nova in Visby.

The operation started in 2024 and consists of six modern apartments and common areas in a functional and pleasant house. Here, people with different support needs live, and we work together to create a safe home where each individual is given the opportunity to live as independently as possible.

At Stickerskan, there is currently a team of 16 employees of various ages and with varying experiences. We have a good collaboration where we support each other, share knowledge and experiences, and contribute to a strong cohesion within the workgroup.

We are now looking for two support assistants who want to be part of our team!

Your Responsibilities

As a support assistant, you will among other things:

• work based on IBIC (Individual's Needs in Focus) with a salutogenic approach
• provide individually tailored support with respect for self-determination, integrity, and participation
• support users in everyday activities and strengthen their ability for independence
• provide care and support to individuals with both extensive care needs and needs for pedagogical support and guidance
• work based on the user's implementation plan and document continuously according to applicable routines
• be responsible for contact person duties by establishing and following up implementation plans and maintaining contact with relatives and representatives/guardians
• collaborate with colleagues and other professional groups to ensure safe and quality care

The work follows a basic schedule with day and evening shifts as well as working every other weekend.

Who Are You?

You have a high school education with a focus on care and nursing, child and leisure, or other education that the employer deems equivalent, such as social pedagogue or personal assistant.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in caring for people with disabilities. Experience with challenging behavior, low-arousal responses, and knowledge of autism are also advantageous.

We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, structured, and persistent in their work. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a positive work climate where you together create safety and quality in the support for users. With pedagogical insight, you adapt your approach and working methods based on each person's needs and conditions. You have a holistic view in your work and are creative in finding solutions that strengthen the individual's opportunities for participation, development, and as independent a life as possible.

In accordance with the language requirements of the operation, you need to have a good command of Swedish in both spoken and written form to ensure safe care and good and correct documentation.
