Temporary System Administrator at Umeå Municipality

About Us

Digital transformation and IT drive the municipality's development in digitalization.

Here, over 100 dedicated employees work – from developers and architects to specialists and leaders – who together create digital solutions that improve everyday life for the municipality's residents and employees.

You will be part of the ID Keys team, a team of six employees responsible for identity carriers for both electronic identification and physical access. We work closely with the municipality's operations and place great emphasis on security, accuracy, and service.

The Role

As a system administrator with us, you will work in an open support function and meet both employees and citizens. Your main tasks will include:

• Managing the ordering, issuance, support, and deregistration of SITHS e-credentials.
• Administering and quality-assuring data in the HSA catalog.
• Handling identity carriers for physical access, including photography, orders, and delivery.
• Working with access assignments and providing support and training to access operators in the municipality's access systems.
• Contributing to ensuring that the right people have the right access – always focusing on security, structure, and safety.

The work takes place on-site at the City Hall.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Good knowledge of IT and digital systems
• Very good Swedish in speech and writing

Meritorious:

• Basic English
• Experience from municipal operations or other public sector
• Familiarity with Umeå municipality's organization

The position is a temporary full-time position, starting from 2026-05-04 until 2027-08-31. There is an opportunity for summer leave according to agreement with the manager and the organization.
