Borgholm Municipality encompasses the northern part of Öland - the island of sun and winds. The central locations are Borgholm, Köpingsvik, and Löttorp. The largest sectors in the municipality are tourism and agriculture. Borgholm Municipality has just over 10,900 year-round residents and over two million visitors each year.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Gardener, your main tasks will be to manage and develop the municipality's parks and green areas. The position includes design, planning, purchasing, and maintenance/renewal of trees/plants, plantings, flower beds, paths/areas, and facilities/playgrounds. Your tasks also include creating maintenance plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a basic education in gardening at the university level or equivalent professional experience. We prefer that you have an interest in environmental and climate issues, as well as good knowledge of plant identification and plant handling, planting, and soil knowledge, and a B driver's license.

You have the ability to balance independent work and your initiative with performing planned tasks together with colleagues. You are communicative and responsive and can make collaborations work.
