Ronneby Environment and Technology AB is a municipal company with approximately 120 employees working to ensure sustainable and safe water and waste management in the municipality.
The Water and Sewage Department consists of 35 employees responsible for the production, distribution, and operation of water and sewage systems.
The current position is located within the pipe network department, which consists of 13 employees and works with the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's pipeline network and pumping stations.
About the position
We are looking for a committed and meticulous operations technician to join our team that works with the operation and maintenance of the municipality's pumping stations and associated facilities.
As part of our essential community mission, you will ensure that our facilities operate in a reliable, energy-efficient, and environmentally sustainable manner.
We are currently responsible for the operation of approximately 80 larger pumping stations and over 300 villa pumping stations within the municipality.
As an operations technician, you will work alongside a colleague with similar tasks, where you will jointly plan, execute, and develop the operation and maintenance of the facilities.
In the role of operations technician, you will:
- Perform operational, supervisory, and maintenance work on pumping stations and water and sewage facilities.
- Work with troubleshooting in both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize operations using SCADA systems and Excel.
- Perform calculations and analyses of pump curves, flows, and pressures to improve efficiency and energy consumption.
- Participate in planning and implementation of improvement and investment projects.
- Contribute to documentation and reporting in our operation and maintenance systems.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- A high school or post-secondary education in electrical, operations and maintenance technology, water and sewage technology, process or energy technology, or equivalent experience.
- Electrical knowledge, with the ability to read electrical diagrams and perform simpler electrical work.
- Good computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel (calculations, charts, and analysis).
- Experience in analysis and calculation of pump curves and hydraulic systems.
- A valid driver's license (B).
Preferred experience includes:
- Work within water and sewage operations or other community service organizations.
- Use of SCADA systems and digital operation and maintenance systems.
- Knowledge of electrical installations, control systems, or measurement technology.
