JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to help shape the future of water supply in Kiruna?

As a Water Supply Engineer for pipeline networks, you will work with water-related investigations from early stages to completed facilities. In the early stages, this means being responsible for investigations/projects, evaluating, and proposing suitable methods and solutions. When the investigation/project transitions into a design and construction phase, you will participate as the technical lead and support in the project.

Your tasks include conducting investigations for water, wastewater, and stormwater, along with associated calculations and cost estimates, as well as being responsible for various types of water supply projects/investigations such as:

• Investment and development projects
• Renewal of existing pipeline systems
• Expansion and decommissioning areas
• Water supply networks including pump stations

Your role will also involve, in collaboration with the company's GIS function, being responsible for/developing the content of the water supply map and the organization's hydraulic models, as well as providing technical support in matters related to sprinklers, fire water, and backflow. You will work within the Investigation/Planning unit, a part of the street/water supply department. This unit is responsible for investigation and planning issues within the department's technical areas, i.e., street/park and water supply.

Your tasks will also include meetings and contacts with project participants, various stakeholders, and the operations organization, field visits, reviewing documents, and producing sketches, presentation materials, and reports. QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has curiosity and interest in new technology, innovative and sustainable solutions. You possess a strong personal drive, which means you take the initiative to achieve results. You have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize effectively.

You have a technical university degree applicable to our operations or other education/experience deemed equivalent.

Good communication is central to your role, and your work includes delivering written reports and other documentation. Therefore, it is a requirement that you can express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.

We expect you to have a good understanding of the design of water supply networks and experience in investigation and/or design within the water sector, preferably with prior experience in municipal water operations or project-based work as a consultant, client, or contractor.

Good computer skills are required, and experience with GIS, AutoCAD, Mike Urban, or other modeling programs is advantageous.

A valid driver's license (B) is required as you will need to travel by car for work purposes.
