School Caretaker Wanted in Täby Municipality

We are now looking for a school caretaker for our principal area, which includes elementary school and adapted elementary and high school. In this role, you will have a key position in ensuring that the school's premises, equipment, and outdoor environment are in top condition and ready to meet the school's needs. The position is 60% permanent, distributed from Monday to Thursday with 2 days at each school (Myrängsskolan and Ängsholmsskolan).

About the Position

As a school caretaker, you will:

• Perform daily tasks such as maintaining the school's premises and outdoor environment, providing technical support for IT equipment, and handling mail.
• Be responsible for weekly and monthly inspections, such as fire safety, replenishing supplies, and minor repairs.
• Follow up on error reports and staff requests to ensure a functioning everyday life.

The role also includes assignments as a fire safety inspector, which means you will conduct fire inspections, document results, and report deviations.

You are expected to be a solution-oriented person who can handle varying tasks – from shoveling snow at the school's entrance to managing IT equipment and cutting open locked lockers when needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience working in elementary school and adapted elementary and high school, where understanding the unique needs and working environment of the school is crucial.
• Practical skills in maintenance and repairs, technical support, and fire safety.
• Good ability to plan and prioritize tasks and work independently.
