At Lernia Staffing & Recruitment, in collaboration with Volvo Cars, we see a need for Test Drivers for the cars of the future at the Hällered Proving Ground located between Borås and Alingsås. Testing is an essential part of vehicle development. Sustainability, comfort, performance, reliability, and safety are qualities that are constantly tested on the proving grounds, which operate around the clock. We at Lernia Staffing & Recruitment are looking for you who want to work as a Test Driver for Volvo Cars through us at Lernia.

The main purpose of Hällered Proving Ground is to verify and develop vehicles. The test driver teams consist of about 50 test drivers, divided into two shifts and night shifts. The main responsibility is to conduct complete vehicle tests according to defined test codes. As a driver, you verify functions in both software and hardware. The group's main responsibility is to deliver top-class reports regarding deviations and errors, as well as mileage and cycles on test vehicles.

As a test driver, the main responsibility is to perform complete vehicle and function tests according to instructions. The scope of testing varies from detailed reporting of deviations and errors in English using reporting tools to function tests and pure mileage. As a test driver, you report in English, from detailed reporting of various deviations on the test objects.

The testing methods cover a wide range of areas, but the main areas for testing are testing of technical functions, base engine testing, durability testing, and reliability validation.

• Ability to implement various customer behaviors in testing.

• Participate in method and process development within the test driver operations.

• Actively communicate with product owners and work on continuous improvements regarding vehicle objects.

• Initiate and perform basic analysis of identified problems, including reading error codes.

• Be able to use various logging equipment to collect applicable data/records to locate development potential.

• Be able to represent potential customers in the specific testing/segment and provide a customer-oriented perspective on the entire vehicle experience.

• Deliver mileage and deviation reports on the vehicle objects.

You have a strong interest in technology and an understanding of technical functions and testing. You enjoy the challenge of working with technical issues and tasks. As a person, you have social competence and can work independently as well as collaborate in a team. You are meticulous and can easily follow instructions. We would like you to have an interest and understanding of technology in general. If you also have an interest and understanding of programming as well as verification/validation, it is a merit.

• Approved high school diploma, preferably with a technical orientation. Please upload a file with original grades or certified copies with your application.

• Good technical understanding and good system familiarity

• Good communication skills - Swedish and English in both speech and writing as a large part of the work is conducted in English.

• Good vehicle knowledge & technical interest to describe deviations.

• Driver's license and access to your own car, BE is a merit.

• Flexible with working hours as the work is conducted in shifts. There is an opportunity to work 2-shifts, constant evening, or constant night. The two-shift schedule is divided into one week day Monday-Friday and one week evening Monday-Thursday. Constant night works Monday - Thursday.
