It all started with a summer job in our restaurant when Tanzila put on our blue-yellow clothes for the first time. The summer job continued as a part-time job alongside her studies until she was encouraged to apply for a role as a team leader. She committed wholeheartedly and then became a department manager. Tanzila still works with food, but today at our headquarters in Helsingborg. There, together with her colleagues, she leads our commercial agenda for all of IKEA Food Sweden! Cool, right?

Working with us

Our founder Ingvar Kamprad realized early on that satisfied customers are happy customers. That’s why we exist at IKEA Food. We offer food to our customers before, during, and after their visit with us.

At Food, we satisfy our customers in several ways. In our restaurant, we prepare, cook, and serve all food. We ensure that the restaurant is nice and clean, and that items like cutlery, napkins, and ketchup are always available. We also offer food in our Bistro at the exit of the store. Here we sell our famous hot dog. Customers come here for something quick before or after their visit to the store. We also run our own Grocery Store in the store where customers can buy groceries to take home.

Regardless of your task for the day, it’s all about teamwork and speed. You don’t need to have done any of this before. We will teach you. If you promise us motivation for the job and good values, we promise you the opportunity to develop. To thrive at IKEA Food, it’s important that you enjoy customer interaction and are service-oriented. Since many of our customers speak Finnish, it is highly valued if you can speak Finnish.

Good to know

Contract: This summer we can offer up to 30.6 hours (80%) per week during weeks 26-33, with an introduction starting from weeks 23-25. The positions are temporary.

Schedule: We work weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Our greatest need is between weeks 26-33.

Working hours: You can start as early as 07:00 and finish as late as 18:45.

Salary: According to the Handels collective agreement.

What happens now?

In this recruitment, we do not want any personal letters. Just attach your CV and you will be asked a number of questions when you apply. The answers to the questions will be important in the selection process, so take your time to answer them. If you proceed, an interview and reference check will await you. The interviews will take place physically at IKEA Haparanda during weeks 12-13. Invitations to interviews will be sent out during weeks 10-12.
