Meal Service is Hiring Staff for Staffing Pool

Meal Service currently has a staffing pool with 11 positions. As an employee in the staffing pool, you will have the opportunity to work in different kitchens with varying tasks. There are finishing kitchens, cooking kitchens, and production kitchens, meaning you will work alone and sometimes in smaller or larger groups. As an employee in the staffing pool, you will cover for short-term absences. You will have a varied and interesting assignment with the opportunity to contribute to the development of Meal Service's operations.

Job Responsibilities/Description

Your tasks will include preparing or finishing and serving the day's various lunch options, preparing a varied salad buffet, as well as preparing and serving breakfast and snacks (including options adapted for children with special dietary needs). You will be responsible for safe food handling, self-control, good hygiene, dishwashing, and cleaning in the kitchen; cleaning in preschools may also occur. Additionally, ordering food from the production kitchen and ordering goods in the municipality's e-commerce system may be included depending on the kitchen. In addition to food and dairy products, cleaning supplies, disposable materials, and chemicals will be ordered. Current agreements must be followed. Daily work involves dialogue with both educators and children; therefore, a good reception is essential.

Qualifications

We prefer that you have restaurant education at the upper secondary level or equivalent training deemed suitable by the employer and/or documented experience as a chef or meal staff in large kitchens and/or restaurants. Sufficient knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, for safe handling in large kitchens is required. Good computer skills and familiarity with the programs used in the work are advantageous. Kitchen work is physically demanding and sometimes heavy, thus requiring good physical condition.

You are accustomed to organizing and executing your work independently and actively contribute to a good working climate and experience exchange both within the workgroup and with other professional groups.

More Information and Contact

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week. A B driver's license and access to a car are required for the position.

Start date by agreement. A probationary period may apply.
