Mycronic is a global high-tech company that has been driving the electronics industry forward for over 50 years. We continue to grow and support customers in an increasing number of industries, and what we do shapes technologies that define the society of the future, how we live our lives today – and tomorrow. We are now looking for more people who want to strengthen our dedicated and driven teams, which are at the forefront of technology. With us, you will work in an open, flexible, and collaborative environment where you will work closely with leading experts and take on challenging projects that turn ideas into reality and bring tomorrow's electronics to life. Welcome to Mycronic!
About the position
Mycronic continues to grow within a wide variety of industries, and the Pattern Generator (PG) division, to which you will belong, currently has a unique position in the market as the world's leading supplier of mask writers for the production of advanced photomasks. All high-resolution screens you see, whether it's a TV, phone, tablet, or Apple Watch, have Mycronic's machines as part of the manufacturing process.
As a Senior Product Quality Engineer, you will belong to the Product Quality Center department consisting of 8 team members with high competence in compliance and quality areas. In addition to your immediate team, you will collaborate closely with our R&D organization - both designers in mechanics, mechatronics, electronics, our software teams, project managers, architects, and production. Our products within the PG division have high technical complexity and consist of many interacting subsystems that place high demands on quality and risk management. With an increased development pace, higher production volumes, and shorter lead times, structured and proactive quality work becomes increasingly important. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in a very important and central role in identifying and preventing risks early in our development projects. You contribute to ensuring that risk analyses are conducted in a timely manner, with the right depth, and that quality and lessons learned from deviations and incidents are translated into long-term and preventive improvements in our way of working. Thus, this is a role for you who want to make a real difference in a technically advanced environment where quality, system understanding, and improvement work are crucial for our continued success.
Responsibilities
The organization currently has a strong operational delivery capability, and your task will be to further strengthen the systematic quality work by driving root cause analyses with high quality, creating structure, and ensuring that our quality requirements are not only defined but also adhered to in practice. You will also contribute to improving ways of working for proactive product quality by identifying areas for improvement in practical work and suggesting concrete, value-creating improvements in close collaboration with the Product Quality Area Manager and Product Quality Center.
You will for example…
- Ensure that Critical To Function / Critical To Quality criteria are identified, documented, analyzed, and managed systematically, as well as conduct DFMEA or Change-FMEA in new and further development projects.
- Capture and structure “tacit knowledge” from engineers, system architects, operations, and service organizations and challenge assumptions when risks are known but not clearly addressed.
- Ensure a clear formulation of risks, actions, and verification plans.
- Ensure that insights from deviations and problems are reflected in updated risk analyses and upcoming design work.
- Ensure a system and lifecycle perspective by integrating cross-functional input from R&D, Operations, and the service organization.
- Facilitate effective root cause workshops and coach project, development, operations, and service teams in implementation.
We are looking for you who
This is a role for you who thrive in a high-tech environment and in a culture where we both challenge and help each other. We see that you have the ability to elevate our processes to the next level, guide the business, and see the long-term perspective. In addition, you are a person who takes initiative and actively networks to create results and drive change. You have a good intuition for how to both challenge and get people to think, demonstrating the value of a more focused and structured quality work without halting our development pace.
In addition, you have…
A bachelor's or master's degree in electronics, mechanics, mechatronics, or similar
Several years of work experience in the quality area and documented experience in applying xFMEA, DfX, and structured root cause analysis (RCA) in real projects.
Documented experience in applying Design for Manufacturing, Testability, and Serviceability (DfM, DfT, DfS) in development and redesign work.
Experience working with complex products containing both hardware and software
Experience collaborating with both R&D, production, and service
Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
We consider it meritorious if you…
- Have experience from development projects of low-volume products
- Are fluent in Swedish
