Business Description
The Social Administration operates statutory activities supported by the Social Services Act, the Health and Medical Services Act, and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons. The Social Administration aims to promote people's economic and social security, equality in living conditions, and active participation in community life based on democracy, while also providing good care, health and medical services, and support to the elderly, people with disabilities, and others who need the community's assistance. The Social Administration consists of the Assistance Unit, Department for Care and Support, Department for Functional Support, Department for Home Care, Management Support Organization, and Health and Medical Services Organization. As a nurse in the health and medical services organization, you will be part of our team of nurses with assignments in special housing or in our short-term unit.
Job Responsibilities
As a licensed nurse, you are responsible for health and medical interventions in Care and Support housing/short-term housing. Your role includes coordinating good care and support, where you are part of the teamwork around the individual and their relatives. The role also includes guidance within the work team. As a daytime nurse, you will work as the responsible nurse for care. You will collaborate with one or more colleagues depending on the type of housing. We have about 30 nurses in the team distributed across different areas. However, we have close collaboration between colleagues and units and the medically responsible nurse in the municipality.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, preferably with further education suitable for the assignment or experience in similar work. You should feel confident working independently but also be comfortable working in a team with other staff and ideally be solution-focused and flexible. Personal suitability is highly valued. Under the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for a position in Gällivare municipality.
A driving license (B) is required.

Working Hours/Duration
100% Permanent. Daytime work with some weekend duties. A probationary period may be applied.
