We are looking for someone who wants to work within the medical services of student health and contribute to the health, development, and learning of children and adolescents. As a school nurse, you work preventively, health-promoting, and supportive to help students achieve educational goals.

You will be part of the school's student health team and work cross-professionally with the counselor, special educator, special teacher, psychologist, school doctor, teachers, career counselors, and principal. Together, you work to remove barriers and strengthen students' opportunities to succeed in school.

As a school nurse, you have good opportunities to plan and structure your work in collaboration with other professionals at the school.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Health conversations and health visits
• Vaccinations according to the national vaccination program
• Open reception for students
• Reception together with the school doctor
• Preventive and health-promoting work at the individual and group level
• Group interventions and teaching together with the counselor
• Collaboration with guardians as well as external actors and authorities
• Documentation and follow-up in the journal system Prorenata
• You also have an important role in the school's work regarding values, bullying, and school absenteeism

Your qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with specialist training as a district nurse, pediatric nurse, or school nurse. We prefer that you have experience working as a school nurse or have other experience in health-promoting work with children and adolescents. You have knowledge of preventive and promoting student health work.

Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is necessary. As a school nurse, you have an independent role, which requires you to plan and organize your work well. You have a professional approach, can meet children and adolescents where they are, and you are curious about people from different cultural backgrounds. You thrive in a role where unpretentious collaboration is central. You have the ability to adapt in your work and prioritize when conditions change.

Good computer skills are desirable as you are expected to document and handle regular administration in digital operational systems.

A valid extract from the Police's criminal record is required before employment for this position.
