We are looking for a Vehicle Responsible Mechanic at LGA Transport & Service AB

LGA Transport & Service AB is a well-established transport company with about 45-50 trucks operating in the Stockholm area. We work with heavy transports, crane trucks, and logistics solutions for some of the industry's largest players. To continue developing our workshop, we are now looking for a vehicle responsible mechanic – a key person who enjoys working with their hands and taking responsibility for the whole.

About the role

As a vehicle responsible mechanic, you will be the hub of our workshop operations. You will work both practically and administratively – responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing repairs and maintenance on our fleet of vehicles.

In close collaboration with transport leaders and other staff, you ensure that our vehicles are in top condition and ready for operation every day.

The position is a combination of workshop work and responsibility for planning and operations. Approximately 70–80% of the time is technical work and 20–30% administrative work.

Your main responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and carry out repairs, maintenance, and preventive maintenance.
• Receive and handle fault reports from drivers.
• Prioritize and schedule actions to minimize downtime.
• Be responsible for the daily operations of the workshop.
• Collaborate with external workshops and suppliers as needed.
• Keep track of service intervals, documentation, and follow-ups.
• Actively participate in practical work in the workshop.
• Handle returns and complaints against workshops.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a technical background in vehicles, preferably experience with heavy vehicles.
• Is structured, responsible, and likes to keep things organized.
• Enjoys combining practical work with planning and administration.
• Can work independently but also in close collaboration with others.
• Has a B driver's license (C or CE is an advantage).
• Speaks and writes Swedish fluently.
