In this role, you will be based at their office in Västerås.

Responsibilities

As an estimator, you will have overall responsibility for driving the entire bidding process from reviewing and analyzing the inquiry documents to a completed and submitted bid. You will ensure that estimates and pricing are commercially sound, competitive, and in line with the project's technical, legal, and economic conditions.

Your work will involve preparing and quality-assuring estimates for material and labor costs, as well as establishing the project's total cost picture. You will analyze risks and opportunities in the projects, propose alternative technical and economic solutions, and optimize the bids from both profitability and execution perspectives.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for dialogue and negotiation with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers during the bidding phase. You will also participate in the establishment of cooperation agreements, framework agreements, and project agreements related to purchases. Through a structured and proactive approach, you will contribute to creating stable business arrangements and good conditions for successful project execution.

• Responsible for the entire bidding process from analysis of inquiry documents to submitted bid

• Prepare, quality-assure, and establish estimates for material, labor, and total costs

• Ensure commercially sound, competitive, and profitable pricing

• Identify, analyze, and manage risks and opportunities in the bidding phase

• Develop alternative technical and economic solutions for optimized bids

• Engage in dialogue and negotiation with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Participate in the establishment of cooperation agreements, framework agreements, and project agreements related to purchases

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Experience in estimating work in general contracts with functional responsibility

• Knowledge of contract law

• Previous experience as a site manager, foreman, or construction engineer is an advantage

• Experience with renovation projects is an advantage

• Driver's license (B)

• Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written

As the role often involves working on sites with special safety requirements, you must be able to undergo and pass a security clearance, which includes an extract from the criminal record as well as Swedish citizenship being a requirement.
