Your Role

As a manager in Region Halland, you have two missions: to steer and lead with a focus on results and to engage and motivate your employees. You are the employer's representative and represent Region Halland, which means you have an understanding of the organization as a whole. You will be employed in a permanent position in your core profession, with an appointment as a manager for four years.

We are looking for someone who will receive close leadership in our general psychiatric clinics in Laholm and Hylte, consisting of about 17 employees together. The role is designed as a part-time position of 75% management, where you lead, develop, and follow up on the operations. The remaining 25% you will work clinically within your profession, which allows you to maintain patient-related competence and understanding of the everyday operations.

You will engage and lead employees in the work to achieve the operational goals and develop adult psychiatric care. You are responsible for finances, personnel, and work environment.

You lead the operations so that employees' competence, engagement, and participation are developed and utilized. It is important that you contribute to a culture where continuous improvement work is a crucial and natural part of everyday work. You are part of the management team, where you actively contribute to the whole and the development of the operational area together with your colleagues.

Both clinics have a stable staff group with high competence, and you will be offered introduction, guidance, and continuous support in your work.

About Us as a Workplace

The Psychiatry Halland is Region Halland's administration for all public specialist psychiatry. This includes psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults, both outpatient and inpatient care. The outpatient psychiatric care has the mission to investigate and treat specialist psychiatric patients. The target group is individuals over 18 years with neuropsychiatric conditions, severe depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, trauma, psychotic disorders, suicidality, and complex addiction problems.

The outpatient care offers psychiatry close to the residents and has clinics in every municipality. The adult psychiatric clinics in Laholm and Hylte collaborate with the respective municipality's various units, primary care, and the psychiatric inpatient care in Halmstad. We provide residents suffering from psychiatric illness with good access to qualified diagnostics, treatment, and rehabilitation.

At the adult psychiatric clinic in Laholm, about twelve employees work – senior physicians, nurses, psychologists, physiotherapists, dietitians, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, and medical secretaries.

At the adult psychiatric clinic in Hylte, five employees work - nurses, social workers, rehabilitation coordinators, medical secretaries, and a senior physician part-time via video link.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant higher education with a core profession found in psychiatric care. We would like you to have experience working in psychiatric care. You should have a clear commitment to leadership issues, and previous managerial experience in healthcare is highly meritorious.

A prerequisite for succeeding and thriving as a department manager with us is that you are developmental, flexible, and have very good collaboration skills. You strive to be a role model, show personal care, and be able to inspire and motivate your employees.

You are structured, attentive, clear in your communication, present, and can steer the operations according to set goals. You enjoy leading change, thrive in teams, and want to build good collaborations. Together with your employees and your managerial colleagues, you create a well-functioning care organization and a good work community. As a leader, you create participation and an engaged culture that allows employees to grow. You also have an interest in developing yourself as a manager. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

As there are travel requirements in the job, a B driver's license is a requirement.
