The role of nursing assistant/care assistant

Your future workplace

The Women's Clinic at Värnamo Hospital provides gynecological and obstetric services around the clock. Every year, we welcome around 1,000 babies into the world. We offer good, safe, and accessible care with high medical competence, both in preventive women's health care and during pregnancy, childbirth, gynecological diseases, and adolescents' reproductive health. We want to do the best for those we serve!

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a trained nursing assistant, caregiver, or studying to become a nurse or doctor. We prefer that you have completed your third semester, but individual assessment can occur earlier.

To ensure good summer planning, we appreciate if you can work continuously for 6 weeks during the summer. Introduction will take place in addition to these weeks.

To thrive with us, you take initiative and are responsible for your own tasks as well as for the unit's overall well-being. It means a lot to us that you have a positive attitude towards both tasks and colleagues, and together we create high patient safety and good accessibility, with the patient in focus. You will work in our combined maternity/gyn department where the focus during the summer is on new families in maternity as our gyn department does not have any places open for planned admissions, only for emergency patients. There is also the opportunity to work in our Gynecological clinic where you prepare patients for doctor visits and assist in examinations.

Our recruitment process

Please be sure to indicate any internships and work experience in your application. It is also important that you attach your diploma. If you have not yet completed your studies, please attach a LADOK extract or other certificate showing completed courses.

Since nursing assistant has been a protected professional title since July 1, 2023, you will need to indicate in your application if you have proof of the protected professional title. If you currently have a permanent position as a nursing assistant and do not have proof of the protected professional title, we ask you to attach a certificate of your permanent position in your application to continue to retain the title of nursing assistant.
