Material Controller for the Maritime Safety Department in Karlskrona
The Maritime Safety Department in Karlskrona is now looking for a meticulous Material Controller to join our operations team. In addition to your primary responsibilities, we also hope that you will participate in the department's other activities, which are mainly focused on training in maritime safety, ship fire protection, CBRN, and marine medical care. To fit the profile we are looking for, you need to have practical experience in handling inventory, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. A background in military service or emergency services/fire department is an advantage.
About the Unit
The Naval Warfare School (SSS) supports the naval units with training, development, and unit training. The school conducts training that includes basic soldier and sailor training, basic officer training (officer program and specialist officer training), Higher Specialist Officer Training (HSOU), as well as vocational and position training for employed personnel. The focus of SSS's activities is the combat capability of the naval units.
The Maritime Safety Department in Karlskrona trains in ship fire protection, smoke diving, rescue, hull damage protection, medical care, and CBRN.
Your workplace is located at Lindholmen in Örlogshamnen Karlskrona, where you will work in a team of about 20 people with varying competencies. The position may also involve short-term assignments at other locations.
Main Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include the following:
- Manage administration, inventory, and registration of training materials, handle deliveries, clean and maintain equipment, take care of vehicles, and support training and exercises.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Documented experience in material handling
- Completed high school education with passing grades.
- Good administrative skills and experience working with digital systems.
- Driver's license for manual transmission.

DESIRABLE
- Experience working in any of the Maritime Safety Department's training areas (e.g., smoke diving, CBRN, medical care).
- Experience in maintenance and training in fall protection equipment.
- Forklift license.
- Competence in the PRIO system (SAP).
- Good knowledge of the Armed Forces in general and the Navy in particular.

More about the Employment
The position is a permanent civilian employment at 100% with a 40-hour workweek. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period for those not employed by the authority.

Salary: Individual salary setting applies
Business travel may occur in the position.
