Warehouse Staff for the Supply Department in Karlskrona
We are now looking for warehouse staff focused on the Services section at the Supply Department in Karlskrona. With us, you will have a varied and responsible job in a stimulating environment where you contribute to the core operations of the Armed Forces. About the Unit
The Supply Department is part of the Logistics Unit and is responsible for planning, preparation, implementation, and follow-up of material supply as well as technical services for all units within the garrison. The department consists of three sections: Service, Operational Organization, and Goods/Transport. Our mission is to contribute to a strong and redundant Armed Forces through well-functioning peace logistics, unit-close storage, and supply of necessities during readiness increases and war. The department has about 65 employees with varying backgrounds and competencies.
About the Section
Service. The section currently consists of about 24 employees. Daily tasks in the section include serving units within the Karlskrona garrison with personal equipment, clothing, laundry exchange, weapons, ammunition, requisitions, etc. There are also some transport tasks for materials.
Main Responsibilities
The job involves contributing to a safe and efficient supply of necessities. The position includes, among other things:
- Issuing, receiving, and storing materials
- Handling special materials for internal and external customers
- Working in system support, mainly SAP/PRIO as well as the Armed Forces' systems such as LIFT
- Other tasks within the Supply Department
The work involves regular manual lifting and periods of physically demanding tasks. The tasks are performed standing and walking for most of the workday.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- High school education or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
- At least 6 months of experience in warehouse, logistics, or service operations or other social activities
- Ability to perform tasks that involve manual lifting and standing/walking for most of the workday, with or without reasonable adjustments
- Basic computer skills and ability to work in IT-based systems
- Driving license B

- Previous service in the Armed Forces for at least 6 months

Salary: For the position, a salary range of 28,000–30,000 SEK/month applies. Placement in the range is based on relevant experience, education, and the requirements of the position.

The overall task of the Naval Base is to support the naval units with logistics such as transport, basing, surveillance, and medical care, both at home and abroad. The Naval Base is headquartered in Karlskrona but operates where there is a need, for example in Berga/Muskö, south of Stockholm, and in Gothenburg. Other major tasks for the Naval Base include monitoring Sweden's 2700 km long coastline with territorial waters.
