What it's like to work as a machine salesperson at Edströms Maskin
In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of machines in your district. You drive the entire business process – from identifying new opportunities and booking meetings to needs analysis, calculations, quotes, negotiations, and closing deals. The role is based from a home office in southern Sweden. You will receive a company car and equipment for fieldwork. The role involves overnight stays approximately 1–2 nights per week.
Here, you will work with deals that fundamentally affect the customer's production. You will meet production managers, owners, and executives to discuss investments, capacity planning, and profitability. The role suits you if you are motivated to take overall responsibility for the business and engage in dialogue at a level where decisions truly make a difference. This is not a desk job. It is a role for you who wants to be out, build trust, and become a business partner in the customer's development.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in cutting machining and sales. You may have worked in production and then built up sales experience or held previous sales roles within the industry. Perhaps you are currently selling tools, automation, or other industrial solutions and want to take the next step – towards larger, more complex, and investment-driven deals?
To fit in this role, we believe you are skilled at creating an understanding of the customer's needs and seeing what opportunities our products offer across different types of businesses. You can also demonstrate good sales results from previous sales roles.
As a person, you are communicative, proactive, and solution-oriented. Above all, you have a strong inner drive. You enjoy pace, relationships, and business – and see great potential in representing a reputable company with a strong market position.
