 Kåge saw is a modern industry in constant development. We use the latest technology and optimize the yield of each log in our 45-meter long saw line. We specialize in high-quality spruce and pine products and are the largest seller of sawn spruce in northern Norrland. The raw material comes from slow-growing timber from Västerbotten and Norrbotten, which gives us both high quality and a strategically strong logistical position.

About the position

We are looking for forklift operators for our timber forklifts and high-lift trucks for the summer.

In the role of forklift operator, you will work with the package and/or timber flow at the sawmill and ensure that logistics operate efficiently and safely. The role is an important part of production and contributes to the smooth operation of the business.

We are looking for someone with a high school education and experience in forklift or vehicle operation. You are quality-conscious, flexible, and enjoy working in a team. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written, and contribute to a positive work environment where you collectively strive for continuous improvements. In addition, you should be:

• Responsible

• Team-oriented

As a forklift operator with us, you will be part of a shift team with knowledgeable and engaged colleagues. You will receive a secure introduction and ongoing support in your work.

Requirements

• Driving license B (B1 is a requirement)

• At least 1 year of experience in forklift driving

It is advantageous if you have a C3B driving license, experience in the manufacturing industry, and have completed a vehicle program in high school.

Employment type

Full-time according to shift schedule I2.

Temporary employment – summer job. Start and end dates by agreement. There may be an opportunity to start the temporary employment immediately.

Norra Timber's operations include three sawmills, three processing units, and a pole factory. We produce nearly 800,000 cubic meters of sawn timber, 250,000 cubic meters of planed timber, as well as approximately 60,000 turned pine poles and 150,000 chip bales annually. About 60% of timber sales go to export. The association also owns 30 percent of the Husum Pulp AB pulp mill. Within the Norra Skog group, over 600 people work, and the turnover amounts to approximately 5 billion SEK.
