Truck Driver at Skellefteå Municipality

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a truck driver with us this summer in Transport and Service.

YOUR ROLE

In the role of truck driver, you will primarily be driving heavy vehicles within the municipality's operations during the summer period. Work as an assistant on the flushing and suction truck may occur, and if needed, you may also drive other vehicles within the operation.

The work is varied and takes place in close collaboration with colleagues. You are responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out safely, efficiently, and with a professional attitude – both internally and externally.

The working hours are generally Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 16:00, with the possibility of flexibility.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

To function as a truck driver with us during the summer, you need to have the right qualifications, but also a work approach characterized by responsibility, collaboration, and a professional attitude. The work is done closely with colleagues and other operations, and you are an important part of ensuring that transportation is carried out safely and efficiently.

You need to bring the following:

• CE driving license
• Valid professional competence certificate (YKB). If you have completed the basic training for YKB but need to renew it, and are willing to cover the cost of further training yourself, you may also be considered for the role.
• Digital driver card

In addition, you need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You can understand verbal and written information and communicate clearly with both colleagues and residents/customers in everyday work situations. You are also comfortable using simpler digital tools for reporting and documentation.

It is an advantage if you have experience or education in areas such as load change driving, crane truck, wheel loader construction, Work on the road, or ADR. Such competence can contribute to greater variation in tasks and provide the operation with extra flexibility.

As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and solution-oriented. You handle changes in the workday calmly and contribute to good collaboration within the team. Since you represent Skellefteå Municipality in your role, a professional and respectful attitude is a given for you.
