Description

The Building and Environmental Unit currently employs 19 people in the fields of environment, food, health protection, construction, housing adaptation, alcohol, tobacco, and over-the-counter medications.

We are now looking for a temporary colleague for the food group.

The work is free and flexible, and you control how you organize your tasks. We prioritize operational development and training for employees and work closely together based on combined competence and experience. We also value time for reflection, collaboration, and discussion to ensure the quality of our methods and decisions.

Responsibilities

As a temporary food inspector, your duties will include planning your own inspections, conducting inspections/audits of food businesses, investigating complaints and suspected food poisonings, writing reports, following up on deviations, and making decisions in accordance with delegation regulations. The work also involves providing information and advice to businesses and the public. The position includes planning and follow-up as well as other processing related to food control.

The tasks are primarily outward-facing, and you need to function well both as an authority representative and an advisor. In the advisory role, you can provide information in a professional manner. You are structured and organize and plan your work well. It is important that you can complete what you have started and meet deadlines.

In the authority role, you must be able to make objective and factual assessments and be able to set clear requirements and make decisions. The authority role also requires a pronounced sense of integrity and that the work is conducted in a legally secure manner. You have good social skills that contribute to creating mutual trust and respect in your interactions with our operators.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained food inspector, food engineer, food agronomist, environmental and health protection inspector, or who has another education or work experience that the employer deems equivalent.

The work involves close contact with citizens and businesses that you must be able to meet in a professional manner. You are service-oriented, have good initiative, and a willingness to take responsibility.

As a person, you are results-oriented, communicative, and inspire trust while being able to make decisions in your role as a representative of an authority. We value the ability to work both independently and in teams. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

The position is a temporary role for parental leave. Start date is according to agreement, and the end date of employment is December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
