We are about 220 employees and manage many interesting construction projects in Skåne; residential construction in western Skåne and commercial properties in northwestern Skåne. The assignments vary between new production, renovation, and extensions.

About the position

As a cost engineer with us, you will work on preparing tender documents based on the request for proposal. You will conduct inquiries for materials and subcontractor costs and evaluate the offers. Your main tasks are to drive the tender process to a completed bid and to be responsible for creating a complete tender document. You will work with everything from budget calculations in early stages to traditional tenders.

In the role of cost engineer, you will be an important team member in laying the foundation for our future projects. Your area of responsibility is to ensure that we have competitive and commercially secure bids.

Your responsibilities include:

·        Review of request for proposal documents and materials

·        Define resource needs for the tender process

·        Investigate and propose technical solutions and alternative methods and materials

·        Establish net calculations

·        Evaluate offers

·        Prepare climate calculations

·        Prepare overhead and personnel calculations

You will be part of the region's cost group and report to the cost manager in the region but work closely with our project managers in our tenders and projects.
The position is based in Malmö or Helsingborg.

Requirements
You have a technical education at the university level or equivalent knowledge gained through experience and professional development. You should have independently been responsible for preparing calculations and bids within construction and have a high level of construction technical competence.

As a person, you are stress-resistant, clear, and used to working towards deadlines. You are cost-conscious and have the ability to build good relationships with those around you. Your natural inclination for teamwork and collaboration is a fact as you are a key player in the team.

You speak and write Swedish fluently. A valid driver's license (B) is required as travel may occur in the position.
