At DIB Travel, we are reshaping how businesses experience travel, meetings and events. Through our all-in-one digital platform, we simplify everything from flights and hotels to conferences and corporate events. With strong growth across the Nordics, we are now strengthening our Meetings & Events offering and are looking for a commercially driven Head of Meetings & Events to lead this area forward.
This role is part of the CRO leadership team and combines strategic ownership with hands-on leadership, client engagement and close collaboration across the organization.
The RoleReports to: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) Location: Sweden (Hybrid – on average 4 days per week at the office)
As Head of Meetings & Events, you will have overall responsibility for the commercial performance, development and delivery of DIB Travel’s Meetings & Events offering. You will lead and develop a team of 7-10 Meetings & Events professionals, working both from our Stockholm office and from locations across Sweden (and 1 in Serbia), while driving growth through increased share of wallet with existing customers and the acquisition of new clients.
A central part of the role is to further develop and scale DIB Travel’s Meetings & Events offering, with a strong focus on driving digitalization and automation to strengthen our ability to sell and deliver corporate events while increasing our visibility in new markets.
Key Responsibilities• Own and develop the Meetings & Events strategy in line with DIB Travel’s commercial goals.
• Increase share of wallet with existing customers by engaging earlier in the customer journey and expanding the scope of delivered Meetings & Events services.
• Drive new customer acquisition through targeted outreach, marketing initiatives, customer events and industry presence.
• Lead, coach and develop a geographically distributed team of 7-10 Meetings & Events specialists.
• Continuously improve the end-to-end sales and delivery process – from inquiry and quotation to execution and follow-up.
• Drive digitalization, automation and structured use of CRM to improve scalability, efficiency and customer experience.
• Build strong relationships with key customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Establish M&E operations in Norway and Denmark in line with DIB’s internationalization strategy.
• Represent DIB Travel at customer events, industry fairs and commercial initiatives.
What are we looking for?• Several years of experience in Meetings & Events, corporate travel, event agencies or a related industry.
• Proven leadership experience with commercial responsibility and revenue growth.
• Comfortable leading and developing teams across multiple locations.
• Strong understanding of consultative sales and complex event delivery.
• A structured leader who is a digital native and has a demonstrable track record of improving processes and ways of working as well as automating repetitive tasks.
• Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on in a growth environment.
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, another Nordic language is an advantage.
