AMART – Asian Grocery Chain

AMART is a growing chain of Asian grocery stores in Sweden. We are in an expansion phase and are now looking for a qualified and business-driven buyer who wants to help develop our product range and strengthen our international supplier relationships.

About the position

As a buyer with us, you will have a central and strategic role in the company. You will be responsible for supplier contacts, product selection, and the entire import process – from identifying new products in Asia to ensuring that goods reach our warehouses in Sweden.

The position requires both analytical skills and a good understanding of international trade as well as EU food regulations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for purchasing and ongoing product development
• 
  
• Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers, primarily in China and within the EU
• 
  
• Identify trend products and analyze their market potential
• 
  
• Conduct sales forecasts and volume analyses
• 
  
• Ensure that products comply with EU food legislation and labeling requirements
• 
  
• Review ingredient lists, certificates, and laboratory reports
• 
  
• Coordinate the entire import chain, including:
• Export and customs handling in China
• 
  
• Logistics and freight booking
• 
  
• Management of contracts, deposits, and invoices
• 
  
• Customs clearance and transportation in Sweden

Qualifications

• Fluent in Mandarin (required)
• 
  
• Good knowledge of English (required)
• 
  
• Experience in purchasing, international trade, or import/export
• 
  
• Knowledge of EU food legislation is an advantage
• 
  
• Strong analytical skills and business-minded thinking
• 
  
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented
