We are looking for a cultural organizer!

We are looking for you who want to work with cultural events with us at Medborgarskolan!

Your job will be to carry out cultural programs in Kiruna municipality together with us. The cultural programs are conducted, for example, in various types of nursing homes or in public spaces.

What is a cultural program?

Cultural programs are meant to provide cultural experiences through lectures, singing/music, dramatic presentations, film/photo/art, dance, exhibitions, literature, art/crafts, or intercultural activities performed in front of or together with participants. Cultural programs are part of the funding-based activities of study associations.

Your assignment will be to carry out this type of activity together with us. If you have language skills and can conduct cultural programs such as reading aloud in any of our minority languages Finnish, Sámi, or Meänkieli, that is a big plus!

Experience in reading aloud, musical performances, or various types of movement activities and experience in care work, as well as if you are considering holding courses or study circles in any area, is also a plus.

This is not a full-time position, but is perfect for you who want an extra income while also doing good for your fellow human beings. You feel comfortable meeting people at different stages of life and creating and working together with others. The work mainly takes place during the day, and you will be paid per assignment. You will have a certain amount of administration related to your events and should therefore have some experience using a mobile phone and computer as work tools.

Medborgarskolan is a study association with a wide range of courses, extensive music activities, and collaboration with associations and groups in many different subjects. Participants are of all ages and with different backgrounds and interests.
