About the Position

Then you should apply to Värmdö Municipality's procurement operations, where we are now looking for a temporary procurement officer in the category of professional services as our regular procurement officer will be on parental leave.

The Procurement Unit as a Workplace

The Procurement Unit plays an important role in the municipality's work to use public procurement as a tool to drive societal development in a sustainable direction. The mission is to ensure that the municipality's purchases are efficient, resource-smart, and sustainable over time.

Here, there are specialists in procurement, contract management, and e-commerce. The team currently consists of about 15 employees, including a unit manager, who work in pleasant offices in Gustavsberg and are characterized by a non-prestigious culture that values collaboration and the exchange of experiences. Together, there is a focus on the mission and development of the operations.

Main Tasks as a Procurement Officer:

• to be responsible for planning and executing procurements of varying complexity and scope in a business-like manner to meet the needs of the operations and the municipality's residents
• to independently and in a group prepare and compile procurement documents, contracts, and be responsible for bid evaluation
• to manage and proactively follow up on procured contracts
• to serve in an advisory role regarding procurement and purchasing issues in the municipality
• to maintain continuous contact and dialogue with both clients and suppliers and, not least, with the municipality's operations.
• you are also expected to actively participate in the unit's development work of working methods and common processes as well as templates and routines within procurement.

Requirements for the Position:

• university degree or vocational training with a focus on procurement/purchasing, law, economics, technology, or other relevant education that we assess as equivalent
• good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) acquired through both theoretical education and practical implementation
• communicative, analytical, and good collaborative skills – the ability to work with tailored messages to target groups and individuals both in written and oral form, with very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Experience from service-related procurements
• Knowledge and experience of working in a politically governed organization
