About Viljan Tallbackagården

Viljan Tallbackagården is located in a picturesque area in Taberg, just outside Jönköping. The facility offers a homely and safe environment for adult men and women aged 20 and above with mental disabilities, such as psychotic disorders, affective disorders, neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPF), and some comorbidity. Viljan Tallbackagården has a total of 24 places. Of these, 17 are short-term places with collective housing and 7 are BmSS places with private apartments.

Our working method is motivating and supportive, with a strong focus on building trusting relationships to promote participation and security. The work is based on the assignment from the placing authority, where the client – together with and supported by their contact person – participates in designing, implementing, and following up on individual support measures.

The facility has a cross-professional team consisting of a deputy manager, nurse, occupational therapist, support assistants, housekeeper/cook, and handyman. A specialist doctor is connected to the facility on a consultancy basis.

About the role of cook at Viljan Tallbackagården

Main responsibilities: Cooking: Preparing lunch and dinner, often from scratch, as well as preparing weekend meals. Preparation of dietary food and other special diets occurs. Responsibility: Purchasing goods, cleaning, and kitchen hygiene according to self-control. Planning menus with a nutritious and varied diet. Client contact: We are looking for a person who can meet people in a respectful manner and who is cheerful and outgoing, and sees it as a given to involve our clients in the kitchen when needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and has good self-awareness. With a responsive and respectful approach, you build good collaborations and enjoy working with both colleagues and clients.

We see that you have good collaboration skills, are service-oriented, and enjoy working together with both colleagues and clients. We also wish that you are meticulous, flexible, and can work in a structured manner and organize your work effectively. We are looking for a person with a culinary education and experience from large kitchens, who can also prepare special and vegetarian/vegan food. Previous experience in a large kitchen is a requirement, as the position requires you to work in a structured, independent manner and with good financial awareness to stay within the assigned budget.

You remain calm even in pressured situations and act with good judgment. You take responsibility for your tasks and actively contribute to a positive and professional work environment.

Requirements:
  • Relevant education in the field

  • Documented experience in similar work

  • Good computer skills, experience in documentation.

  • Driving license B

  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Employment conditions

Role: Cook/Kitchen Manager

Employment type: Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period

Working hours: Monday to Friday

Start date: By agreement

Collective agreement: We are bound by collective agreements with Vårdföretagarna/Kommunal, Branch E.
