Care Assistant/Nursing Assistant at the Health and Care Administration

The position is located within the Health and Care Administration, which is one of eight administrations in Linköping municipality. The Health and Care Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health care, authority exercise, ordering of services, and provides care and support in its own right. Your Responsibilities

In your role as a care assistant/nursing assistant, you will meet the individual's needs and create a pleasant environment. You will perform medical and basic care tasks such as rehabilitation training, medication management, personal hygiene, and transfers.

You will also have opportunities for development as you will be assigned a contact person role for a number of individuals, where you will participate in welcome conversations and plan support measures together with the individual. You will also have close contact with relatives and other partners, as well as participate in our multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for implementation plans and documentation in the Treserva system. You will also have the opportunity to take on an advocacy role, where you take special responsibility for an area that matches your knowledge and interests. This gives you the chance to drive development, meet future needs, and grow in your professional role.

In your work, you will base your actions on IBIC (individual needs in focus), a salutogenic approach where you focus on the healthy and strengthen the individual's own abilities. You will also apply a low-arousal approach to handle various situations calmly and respectfully.

Your working hours will be scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.

Your Workplace

Valla Park is a care home located in a scenic area near Old Linköping. There are 50 places distributed across three somatic departments and three dementia departments. Work within somatic and dementia care at Valla Park is varied and meaningful. You will become an important part of our dedicated, multidisciplinary team and contribute to creating a meaningful stay for our care recipients.

We use BEATA, an individualized working method that includes digital supervision and digital alarms, which increases the integrity of the residents and reduces the need for physical supervision.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone with a completed upper secondary education combined with experience in care and support. It is considered an advantage if you are a trained nursing assistant. If you have experience and knowledge of working with individuals with dementia and/or somatic conditions, we see this as an advantage. Knowledge of or experience with the IBIC method, low-arousal approach, and a salutogenic approach is also seen as advantageous.

As the work involves contact with users and documentation, you need to be able to communicate both verbally and in writing in Swedish. It is advantageous if you have experience with documentation in journal systems. You are also expected to be able to use digital tools in your work.

We are looking for someone who is self-driven, takes responsibility for their tasks, and drives their work forward. You work well with others and listen and communicate clearly. You have an empathetic ability and can understand others' perspectives and situations.

To ensure high quality in our operations, a language test is included in the recruitment process. Upon employment, you will also need to present a criminal record extract from the Police.
