Have you completed at least three semesters of the nursing program or are you perhaps already a qualified nursing assistant? For the summer of 2026, we are looking for you who want to work as a nursing assistant in municipal health and medical care.

Your Summer Job

As a nursing assistant with us at the Health and Medical Care function (HS), you will work with both planned and urgent interventions in the patient's home – this can be in nursing homes, group homes, short-term units, or individual residences. The target group is broad and includes both young and old with varying care needs. As a nursing assistant, you will perform health and medical care interventions delegated or transferred by a nurse.

Your duties include:

• Blood pressure monitoring, catheter management, wound dressing
• Venipuncture
• Medication management, e.g., dosage division, insulin administration
• Documentation in the operational system Combine
• Other tasks may also occur

You will work in one of our HS Teams together with experienced and knowledgeable colleagues from various professional backgrounds such as nurses, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants.

Who are you?

• You are a trained nursing assistant or have completed at least 3 semesters of the nursing program, 6 semesters of the medical program, or 4 semesters towards a biomedical analyst
• If you have experience working in care and nursing, it is an advantage, but not a requirement
• A driver's license (B) is required as a car is used in the service
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills
• To work with us, you must be at least 18 years old

As a person, you are structured and self-driven, with the ability to plan your work and make independent decisions. You are flexible and can easily adapt when circumstances change. The Health and Medical Care function in Jönköping Municipality consists of 13 health and medical care teams and a home team that works with home health care and home rehabilitation in both regular and special housing. Your workday starts and is based on a team location determined by the team's geographical placement.

Good to Know

The recruitment concerns summer substitutes from June to August 2026. For those who show initiative, there may also be opportunities for further employment. Your working hours are primarily scheduled during the day, Monday to Friday.

The selection process begins in January, and interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period. In your application, you will indicate your preferences for which geographical area you are primarily interested in working in.

Upon employment, you must submit an approved extract from the police's criminal record in an unopened envelope to the recruiting manager. Order one from the police's website at the same time you submit your application, using the form "Check of own information".
