We are now looking for a service-oriented bicycle technician with administrative responsibilities for the Vehicle Park within the Technical and Service Administration.

About the position

Welcome to the Vehicle Park unit! We are looking for a positive, driven, service-oriented, and engaged employee who will be part of a unit consisting of seven employees. We work together with freedom under responsibility, where we all help each other to ensure that the cycling operations function in the best possible way.

In the role of bicycle technician, you will work closely with our other bicycle technician and our administrator. Together with the administrator, you will work on tasks such as approving the unit's invoices. You will communicate daily, both internally and externally, with the municipality's operations and our suppliers. The position includes practical work in the form of transport and minor repairs of bicycles. For a few weeks during spring and autumn, you will essentially drop all administrative tasks and work on transporting bicycles to and from the workshop for changing to/from winter tires.

Examples of tasks:

registration and maintenance of customer and vehicle registers for the cycling operations
be part of the operational development within the cycling operations
simple repairs of bicycles on-site with our customers
transport of bicycles to the bicycle workshop
rental billing
other bicycle-related issues
invoice management
other administrative tasks within the scope of the operation and the unit's area of responsibility
participate in other tasks within the unit's area of responsibility

About the workplace

Vehicles are part of the Technical and Service Administration. Currently, we have about 700 employees in the administration, and our mission is to provide good municipal technical service to the residents of Örebro. Environmental consideration, good economy, and quality are cornerstones of our operations. We are responsible for streets, roads, traffic, squares, parks, waste, municipal vehicles, water and sewage, as well as the municipality's meal operations. We also handle internal mail management.

The Vehicle operation is responsible for the purchase and management of all vehicles for Örebro Municipality. We are located in new, fresh premises in Berglunda in Örebro. Here you will also find the Technical Administration's central warehouse and the municipality's internal mail management. The Vehicle operation also assists all municipal operations with workshop services. The Vehicle operation consists of about 35 employees.

The Vehicle operation includes the units Workshop, Combud/Warehouse, and Vehicle Park. The position is part of the Vehicle Park unit, which is responsible for the municipality's vehicle management and currently consists of 7 employees.

At the Vehicle operation, we ensure that Örebro Municipality's fleet of about 900 vehicles plus about 600 bicycles is sustainable and safe, and we are also responsible for the municipality's mail management and emergency stock. Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need to be driven and have the will and commitment. You have a positive attitude and find it easy to collaborate with others. We believe you are a person who creates contacts and is solution-oriented with a sense of service. You are meticulous, organized, work systematically, document, and can plan your work independently. You find it easy to communicate and provide feedback to customers and colleagues and have a good command of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, allowing you to interpret and write texts as well as communicate verbally with those you meet.

Requirements:

completed upper secondary education in a field deemed relevant by the employer
technical competence with the ability to perform simple bicycle repairs
experience working in various types of operational systems, such as Fleet Intelligence
documented experience of administrative work
good knowledge of the Office suite, including Excel
driver's license B for manual transmission vehicles
