Communication & Customer Service in Nyköping Municipality consists of several units and together we are responsible for the communication function in Nyköping Municipality. With communication as a tool, we are tasked with providing good service internally and externally, contributing to the organizations achieving their goals, and making the work more efficient.

The Communications Department is also responsible for the municipality's Customer Service. This includes customer service, the central switchboard, information and internal service in the City Hall, as well as the reception at the Technical Division in Arnö.

We are now looking for more customer service coordinators for our customer service operations.

The joint customer service of Nyköping Municipality answers questions regarding:

  • community building such as building permits, environment, and community-funded travel
  • business, culture, and leisure
  • education; preschool, primary school, high school, and adult education
  • social care
  • the technical division regarding streets, ports, parks, and waste management
  • rescue and safety

As a customer service coordinator with us, you will receive training in all the above areas and work to provide good service in all inquiries.

Customer service is characterized by high availability, professional response, and broad competence. Our goal is to deliver service and make a difference in every meeting with the residents of Nyköping, as well as to relieve our operations from general inquiries. Our aim is to resolve most of the residents' questions at the first contact.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We provide service via phone, email, but also through visits and in our digital channels. The tasks are very varied as a customer service coordinator answers questions and provides service within all customer service assignments. Some regulated processing occurs, as well as staffing the switchboard and information. The work also includes maintaining a good dialogue with case handlers and officials within the municipality. Over time, you will have your own area of responsibility within our assignment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Post-secondary education in social sciences, service, or other relevant education or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or contact centers.
  • Good knowledge of how society, public operations, and important societal functions work.
  • Experience working with the phone and email as work tools.
  • Good general computer skills and is accustomed to searching for information via the web and in various operational systems.
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. It is required that you speak and write fluent Swedish and good English. Additional language skills are seen as a positive.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience working in public operations in the areas of community building, business, culture and leisure, technical division, education division, or social care.

As a customer service coordinator, the inquiries are very varied, and important qualities for you are flexibility and solution focus. Furthermore, you are self-driven, take responsibility for your cases, and can prioritize your work. You are also resilient and can adapt based on what the situation requires.

To fit in the role, it is important that you enjoy working with people and service. You will work with a strong focus on meeting the needs of citizens. It is important that you are attentive and open and can adapt your working methods and communication. As the organization is under development, it is important that you are curious and want to develop your skills in new areas.

You are confident in yourself, enjoy working in a team in a fast-paced workplace where tasks and work methods are constantly evolving. It is important that you follow set goals, common routines, and guidelines.

Our premises are located in the City Hall in central Nyköping and at the Technical Division in Arnö, and our opening hours are between 7 AM and 5 PM.
