JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
At Kiruna swimming pool, you will be the manager of a large number of employees, supporting them and providing the conditions for delivering good service to the residents of Kiruna and visitors. The position involves many internal and external contacts, where you have overall responsibility for personnel, marketing, budget, operational development, and working environment. Together with your employees, you will work for memorable experiences for the municipality's residents and temporary visitors. It is important that you, in your role as a manager, have the ability to create and maintain good and trustworthy relationships.
Kiruna swimming pool is undergoing a transformation as we move to a new, larger facility with new attractions, and as the swimming pool manager, you will be a key person in that journey. The position is a permanent employment combined with a fixed-term management agreement.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in a relevant field for the position and/or work experience that the employer deems equivalent. If you have documented training in leadership, we consider it an asset. We expect you to have previous experience working as a manager or leader with experience in personnel and budget responsibility. Experience in working with occupational health and safety and/or security issues, as well as work in the public sector, politically governed activities, and/or experience working with associations is advantageous.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement. Furthermore, we also see that you have a good habit of using a computer as a tool and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of driving and developing Kiruna swimming pool. As the swimming pool manager, you should be able to work independently, innovatively, and solution-oriented. Based on political decisions, you will work with your employees to develop and optimize operations with a customer perspective. You understand the importance of good service and a professional approach. As the swimming pool manager, you are a role model and a change agent, acting according to the values of Kiruna municipality RASK (respect, responsibility, collaboration, and competence).
In your role as a leader, you are engaged and innovative, communicative, and enjoy working closely with your employees. You work to build trusting relationships and to create employee-driven operations by motivating and engaging your employees. Personal suitability is highly valued.
Swimming proficiency is also a requirement for this position, as well as a B driver's license.
