As the head of the Department of Community Building, you will play a central role in the development of the administration. We envision that your focus will be on continuously developing our work in response to recurring changes in the external environment.

The management team consists of a few specialists (controller, operational controller, business developer, analyst/investigator, digitalization developer) who work with the administration's governance and management as well as development issues. The department also has an administrative unit with about 15 employees led by a unit manager. The unit works with administrative services, system-related issues, and the development of work methods and is now facing a journey where clarity, service level, digitalization, and coordination are becoming increasingly important.

Job Responsibilities

As the head of the Department of Community Building, you are responsible for the department's economy, personnel, and operations. You work to ensure that the department delivers results based on political decisions and financial frameworks.

In your role, you will have close contact with others in the administration but also with other functions in the municipality and other stakeholders. You are also part of the administration's management group and are expected to drive the overarching planning and development issues of Community Building.

Qualifications

You have an academic degree in a relevant field and experience leading other managers within a larger organization, preferably within municipal operations. You have experience in business development and governance and management issues. You are also accustomed to working closely with management and contributing to strategic decisions.

Since the role requires many contacts, it is important that you have good collaboration skills and that you are communicative, both verbally and in writing. To succeed in the role, you need to have very good analytical skills, be able to handle complex issues, and work systematically towards set goals. You are flexible and have the ability to adapt your working methods to changing conditions. Your leadership is both clear and trust-based.
