We support scientific publishing, are responsible for the purchase and accessibility of media, and provide related infrastructure and pedagogical support for information literacy and learning.

Job Responsibilities

As a librarian with us, you will play a central role in supporting the university's research. You will work closely with research-active teachers and assist them in using the systems and services offered by the library to facilitate the entire research process. The role includes actively participating in the library's research support activities and contributing to the development of methods and services in the area. You will also work on issues related to open science, including publishing processes, open access, and research data. The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in operational support as well as with faculties and departments, where you, together with others, strive to provide researchers with cohesive and professional support. The position also includes participating in the library's daily operations, such as staffing the information point and performing other routine librarian tasks that may arise.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in library and information science
• At least two years of experience from higher education, special, or government libraries,
• Experience in research support activities, for example in open science or publishing,
• Experience in collaborations based on a user-oriented approach.
• Very good ability to read, write, and speak English
• Experience with research support systems

Desirable

For this position, it is desirable to have experience in:

• Data management, publishing systems, APIs, and integration,
• Bibliometrics, altmetrics, or visualization,
• System development.
