Katrineholms-Kuriren is looking for summer reporters
Katrineholms-Kuriren is the small newspaper with big opportunities. We are now looking for both general reporters and sports reporters for summer positions.
As a reporter at Katrineholms-Kuriren, you will be offered a stimulating work environment, with the opportunity to develop in a variety of areas.
With the editorial team as your base, we work daily to create a news-leading coverage of Katrineholm and Vingåker.
With us, you will write editorial articles, take photos, film, and report live. You enjoy being the first to break a story, finding the sharpest angle, and can explain what is happening and why – with the right tone in the right digital channel.
You have a strong commitment to community development, an interest in local journalism, and a passion for telling stories that affect people in their everyday lives.
You have a good ability to build relationships and create trust with both interview subjects and our readers.
We are also looking for someone with sports expertise who is ready to cover, for example, football, running, and personal life stories related to the world of sports.
You will have a team of knowledgeable and helpful colleagues to support you.
The positions may involve working hours during the day, evenings, and weekends.
Please indicate in your application whether you are interested in a role as a general reporter or a sports reporter.
Selection and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis, and positions may be filled before the application deadline.
Any questions about the positions can be answered by Ida Lithell, editor-in-chief, at 070-2125859 or by union representative SJF; Anton Swärdhagen: [email protected], 076-1386842.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A journalism degree or equivalent, or is studying journalism.
- Knowledge in journalism such as interview techniques, research, information gathering, source criticism, and news packaging.
- A good sense of language.
- Basic knowledge of photography and film.
- A driving license (B).
We are a value-driven company that strives for equality and diversity and therefore values applicants with different backgrounds and experiences.
