Machine Repair Technician Wanted at the Cemetery Administration
We are looking for an engaged machine repair technician who enjoys working broadly – from irrigation systems to excavators. About the position
In this role, you will be responsible, together with two colleagues, for ensuring that our well-equipped fleet of machines operates flawlessly and that vehicles and machines meet applicable requirements. The work involves repairing, maintaining, and servicing engines, machines, and other mechanical equipment.
Depending on your technical experience, the work may also include:
- Vehicle diagnostics
- Basic repairs and hydraulics on larger machines
- Welding and metalworking
- Electronics
Above all, you will be working with green area machines.
The work team is based in Hovdestalund and operates throughout Västerås. Currently, a renovation of the premises in Hovdestalund is underway, which is planned to be completed by the end of the year.

Qualifications
To be considered for the position, we expect you to have:
- Completed high school education with a focus on automotive technology
- Driving license B
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Physical endurance, as the work is physically demanding
It is an advantage if you have experience in:
- Several years of work in a similar field
- Tire management
- Water and sewage work (e.g., irrigation)
- Welding and metalwork
- Service of green area machines
- Repair of power tools
A BE driving license is also an advantage.

About the Cemetery Administration
The Cemetery Administration is part of the Church of Sweden Västerås and is responsible for burial services. An important main task is to allocate burial sites for all deceased, regardless of religious affiliation. We want to provide our visitors with the best possible service regarding the care and maintenance of our 23 cemeteries.
