Assistant Unit Manager Wanted at the Culture School
Do you want to combine leadership with a strong commitment to culture, children, and youth? We are now looking for an Assistant Unit Manager for the Culture School – a creative and development-oriented organization where culture makes a difference every day.
About the Culture School
The Culture School offers children and young people the opportunity to develop through music, dance, theater, visual arts, and other art forms. Our operations are characterized by high quality, participation, and an inclusive approach. We work closely with students, guardians, schools, and other cultural actors.
About the Position
As an Assistant Unit Manager, you will work closely with the Unit Manager and be an important part of the leadership for the Culture School. You will contribute both strategically and operationally to the development and quality of the organization.
Start date: By agreement.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the Unit Manager in leading, planning, and following up on operations.
- Personnel responsibility, such as scheduling, work environment, and employee support.
- Operational development and quality work.
- Budget monitoring and administrative tasks.
- Collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Replacing the Unit Manager when necessary.
- Teaching in one of the Culture School's subjects will be included. This means you need to be able to teach in one of the subjects of musical instruments, drama, singing, dance, or visual arts.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a relevant university degree and teaching experience in one of the Culture School's subjects. Teaching is part of the position.
- Has experience teaching children and youth in cultural schools, schools, or other educational/cultural activities.
- Has previous leadership experience or documented leadership potential.
- Has good organizational and administrative skills.
- Is confident in communication and easy to collaborate with.
- Has knowledge of Excel and StudyAlong, or can quickly learn the systems.
- Has an interest in finance and financial management.
- Holds a valid driver's license (B).
- Leadership training or principal training is an asset.

The Culture School is part of the Culture and Leisure Administration, and many shared administrative tasks are included.
