The Facility

Within the facility, located centrally in Östersund, there is a training and competition track with events year-round, a restaurant, properties, and stables with around 100 boxes, associated horse pastures, as well as a trotting school. The staff group consists of a sports and marketing manager, a financial manager, a trotting school and education manager, and a restaurant manager, along with several employees in various areas. Östersundstravet is also a landlord to several tenants, both professional and amateur trainers, with accompanying competition horses.

Responsibilities

Our business is characterized by varied days and a dynamic work environment. In the role of CEO, you have a multifaceted role that spans several important areas and focuses, addressing both strategic and operational levels. Your responsibilities include leading and monitoring all areas of the business within formal frameworks and against the goals set by the board. This includes, among other things, financial management as well as cost and result responsibility, personnel and work environment responsibility, the utilization of the facility, internal processes, and business development.

An important part of the assignment is also to create and maintain good relationships with the local and regional business community as well as parts of public operations, such as the municipality and Region. In this role, you will also represent Östersundstravet within Swedish Trotting through various formal networks, in line with the strategies that the trotting sport in Sweden has agreed to follow. The work requires continuous physical presence.

Who are you?

We are looking for a creative and resourceful leader with an eye for quality, the whole picture, and service/experience. We see that you have documented education in, and experience of, finance, business development, and personnel-related issues. You have held leadership roles with personnel, business, and result responsibility and are used to working towards goals in an organization with an elected board. You are also well-versed in property management. Knowledge and interest in the trotting sport are advantageous and will be very valuable in the role. You share our vision: "The meeting place with the horse at the center".

As a person and leader, you are confident, have high communicative ability, and find it easy to create good personal relationships, both internally within the facility and externally within the business community and with other key parties. You are driven by business development and can see new opportunities for the utilization of the facility.

You have a strong desire to interact, coach, and develop, as well as to help employees grow in their respective roles. You are interested in, and have an understanding of, the daily operations for both employees and tenants. You are driven by a lack of prestige, collaboration, openness, and the insight to take full ownership of the business. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

You need a B driver's license for the position.
