Your Responsibilities

Together with your colleagues, you will work with a focus on IT issues and digital participation based on the goals and assignments for Västervik Library. You will have system responsibility for Quria and certain responsibilities for IT systems, equipment, and technical conditions. In this role, you will also be responsible for other digital services as well as regular tasks at the city library and our units. Weekend and evening work is included.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree in library and information science, or another academic education that the employer considers equivalent. You must have experience working as an administrator in a library system, and it is an advantage if you have worked with the Quria system. For this position, you also need to have a B driver's license and good driving experience.

We would like you to have documented knowledge in the IT field, digital media, and Libris, as well as experience in development or change work and project-based work.

You have a positive outlook and see opportunities rather than obstacles, while being adaptable to new situations. You work well both individually and in groups and are good at creating contacts. Service and a good attitude are a given for you.

We are looking for someone who wants to explore new ways to make the library accessible to everyone. You have a pedagogical approach and are innovative with the ability to shift perspectives based on the needs placed on the modern library, especially from a digital perspective. Together with us, you want to drive and develop the library - aiming to provide library visitors with more unexpectedly good experiences. Service and a good attitude are a given for you.

It is important that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. If you have additional language skills beyond Swedish and English, we consider that an advantage.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as a communicative and pedagogical approach, initiative, creativity, good attitude, and good collaboration skills.
