Job Responsibilities

The East Link is a 160 km long double-track railway between Järna and Linköping. The new railway enables more trains, sustainable transport, smoother and safer journeys, and larger labor market regions. The East Link consists of many projects that are at different stages simultaneously - planning, construction documentation, and production.

The role of project manager in the railway technology area of track, electricity, signal, and telecommunications (BEST) involves coordinating and leading technical specialists. You will produce documentation for substations, technical buildings, tunnel installations, and power facilities, as well as plan strategic and operational technical issues, both at an overarching level and in each respective project.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have a technical background in BEST. You have a good ability to create progress and achieve results in your assignments to help the organization reach its goals and create value. You are proactive, structured, and quality-conscious in your commitments and have good analytical skills. You are motivated by active employee participation, where you responsibly take charge of your tasks while being attentive to how you are part of and contribute to the whole by collaborating with others.

We are looking for someone who

• has a university or college education of at least 180 credits (120 points) with a technical focus or has other education and experience that we consider equivalent
• has several years of current and relevant experience in design/project management assignments or as a project manager
• has relevant and current experience working in complex railway contracts
• has overarching knowledge of track, electricity, signal, and telecommunications (BEST) as well as deeper technical knowledge in one or more of these areas
• has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• has good knowledge of English in speech and writing
• has a valid driver's license for passenger cars

It is meritorious if you

• have worked as a specialist in any of the BEST areas
• have knowledge of traffic management systems or other complex systems related to railways
