Occupational Therapist for Psychosocial Care Stockholm
Stockholm County's Healthcare Region, SLSO, is forming a new service - Psychosocial Care Stockholm, where all outpatient clinics and inpatient wards for patients with psychotic disorders will be gathered within the new service.
We are now looking for an occupational therapist who wants to help shape the future of psychosocial care.
Ward 4 is an inpatient ward focusing on psychotic disorders and we have 14 beds. The ward is part of Psychosocial Care Stockholm. We work with assessment, treatment, care, collaboration with healthcare partners, and rehabilitation, often dealing with somatic comorbidity. The ward is located at S:t Göran's Hospital area.
Responsibilities:
- Cognition, activity and functional assessment/investigation/training.
- Assist patients with aids.
- Assist with home visits to assess patients' home situation and need for support at home after discharge.
- External assignments such as accompanying patients for shopping, visiting the bank, etc.
- Activation on the ward in the form of movement sessions.
- Support staff and provide ongoing training in transfer techniques for healthcare personnel.
- Participate in rounds, care planning, and team conferences.
Conditions:
Permanent employment at 80%. Schedule can be arranged by agreement.
Qualifications:
Educated occupational therapist with experience in psychiatry preferred. Documented experience and knowledge of psychiatric conditions, work ability/ADL assessments (preferably AMPS training or similar) and cognitive aids are advantageous. All permanent staff at Ward 4 are offered and must participate in a 4-day Bergen training, and if you have already completed it, that is a merit.
Personal Qualities:
We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills, who is proactive and enjoys working independently. The role requires good mobility to conduct assessments and lead activities.
You are a secure and stable person who maintains focus even in challenging situations. Furthermore, you are flexible, innovative, and structured, with an interest in the patient group. We place great emphasis on good collaboration skills and personal suitability.

- background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
- employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment health examination, according to applicable directives, which is conducted through occupational health services before employment.
- in addition to Swedish professional certification, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
