Description

The Medicine department at Kungälv Hospital includes specialties such as cardiology, diabetology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology, internal medicine, and care administration.

Within the Medicine department at Kungälv Hospital, there are three inpatient wards, a day care ward, and an outpatient clinic with teams linked to the various specialties.

You will work at the medicine outpatient clinic and/or day care depending on how the summer planning turns out. The units are open during weekdays in daytime.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities at the outpatient clinic include receiving our patients and ensuring preparatory checks before their visit, such as EKG, blood pressure, blood sampling, registrations, and more. At our day care ward, you will work with blood draws, checks, blood sampling, registrations, and assist our doctors and nurses. Documentation and registrations are done in our patient administrative systems, ELVIS and Melior, so it is advantageous if you have experience working with these.

You need to have good collaboration skills, be stress-resistant, and be able to shift focus easily, as the tasks can vary. Most importantly, it is essential that the patients who come to us feel that we are here for them and make their visit as positive as possible. Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, preferably with experience in ward work and/or outpatient work. You can also be a medical student who has completed at least 6 semesters or a nursing student who has completed at least 4 semesters. You are a stable and flexible person with very good collaboration skills and computer proficiency. Personal suitability is of great importance, and you should be able to work a large part of the summer.

Protected Professional Title for Nursing Assistants

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you will need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant within healthcare and social services.
