Do you want to be part of one of Sweden's largest and most complex infrastructure projects? At Digital Railway, we primarily work on the development of the new signaling system ERTMS.
Safety Engineer for Digital RailwayJob ResponsibilitiesYou will work in the Development section where we are responsible for ordering the development of systems from our suppliers and following up throughout the development phase. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting and developing projects and be part of a competent team with specialists in various fields, as well as driven project managers and administrators who support throughout the entire development process. Project members work from Solna and Borlänge, but also have a network of stakeholders and users spread across Sweden. You will primarily work in a digital environment, but also have the opportunity to participate in testing, commissioning, and actual operation of the systems.
The new signaling system must be safe and have no safety deficiencies. Therefore, we have several employees working with traffic safety. The work involves constantly keeping track of handling deficiencies, regulations, writing reports, and collaborating with a range of stakeholders. It is a close-knit team of specialists who always support each other.

As a safety engineer in the Development section, you will provide technical support to project managers and specialists. Some examples of tasks include:
- Analyze and follow up on safety-related system deviations
- Manage SRAC and risk source lists in CCM
- Participate in, and eventually take responsibility for, risk analyses
- Write simpler reports and documentation
- Review technical documentation about the system from suppliers
- Support specialists with reporting, reviews, meetings, analyses, etc.
There are good development opportunities within the Development section, and therefore our goal is for you to develop and eventually have the opportunity to become a specialist.
Additional InformationThe workplace is in Solna or Borlänge.

QualificationsWho are you?
You enjoy working collaboratively with others and find it easy to create good partnerships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external suppliers. You are engaged, ambitious, and work in a structured manner. You plan your work well, take responsibility for completing tasks on time, and are proactive in identifying new tasks. You have good problem-solving skills and approach challenges with a positive and solution-oriented attitude.
We are looking for someone who
- has a university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 points) in engineering, civil engineering, or a similar field, or other relevant education combined with work experience that we consider equivalent
- has relevant and current work experience in working with technical systems, where you have held a position in the technical field
- has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you
- have current and basic knowledge of EN50126
- have recent experience in conducting risk analyses in a technical area
