Unit Manager with Technical Experience Wanted
We are now looking for a unit manager with experience in technical operations and a strong drive to develop both the organization and its employees. Do you want to lead a qualified unit with an important mission for Sweden's defense capability? Then you might be the one we are looking for.
About the Position
As the head of T&E Marin VoV, you report directly to the head of T&E Marin and are part of the C T&E Marin management team. In this role, you have overall responsibility for the unit's operations and actively contribute to the development within the entire operational area.
You have operational responsibility, employer responsibility, and financial responsibility, working towards the goals set within the operational area. You ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations and guidelines within relevant areas of responsibility.
An important part of your assignment is to follow up and ensure that staff adhere to our common approach. You provide employees with support and the right conditions in their work and create participation and engagement through your leadership, in accordance with FMV's leadership principles.
You continuously work to develop the operations and actively contribute to the management team's work. In this role, you support and report to your superior and are a clear representative of the unit's goals, priorities, and values.
The position is located in Karlskrona. You have personnel responsibility for employees both in Karlskrona and Stockholm, which means recurring travel to Stockholm for management, follow-up, and to ensure a good working environment. Travel abroad may occur to represent the department and gather knowledge.
About You
We are looking for someone with relevant academic technical education or equivalent competence acquired in another way that we consider equivalent. You also have project management training or equivalent knowledge.
- Managerial experience or experience from a supervisory role, such as project manager or officer
- Experience in coordination, planning, execution, and follow-up of production and finance
- Experience from production with technical systems and processes
- Good knowledge in leadership
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
The position requires that you are a Swedish citizen and have a B driver's license.
Desirable Qualifications
It is an advantage if you have:
- Management training and/or military background
- Experience in business development and change management
- Experience in systematic quality work
- Knowledge of systems work, such as Systems Engineering and verification and validation
- Good knowledge of business management and quality development
