Do you want to lead the work with some of Ronneby's most significant and tranquil cultural and living environments?

In the heart of Blekinge, where history, nature, and human destinies meet, Ronneby parish manages its 11 cemeteries with care, dignity, and long-term responsibility. We are now looking for a Cemetery Manager who wants to take overall responsibility for the development, operation, and management of our burial services – with both heart and decisiveness.

About the role

As Cemetery Manager, you have overall responsibility for the parish's cemeteries and burial services. The cemetery administration in Ronneby is at the forefront and is currently working with long-term goals and has high ambitions to create the most beautiful cemeteries in Sweden.

In your role, you will lead and further develop this operation with a focus on quality, sustainability, and respect for every person's final resting place. The role is both strategic and operational and involves close collaboration with employees, elected representatives, authorities, and the public.

You are responsible for:

· Leadership and working environment for approximately 40 employees in the cemetery operations

· Planning, operation, and development of 11 cemeteries and green spaces

· Budget, follow-up, and operational development with volume calculations

· Exercising authority within the burial services

· Ensuring that cultural-historical values are cared for with care and a future perspective

· Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws

· Responsibility for following up and quality assuring the employer's set goals and guidelines

· Responsibility for developing and participating in communication/information work.

· Participating in the management group's work.

· Responsible for salary reviews according to applicable agreements within the burial services and the right to delegate responsibility for salary and employee conversations to team leaders.

You have:

· Experience in leadership, preferably within public operations, property, parks, cemeteries, or similar

· Good organizational and administrative skills

· Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing

· Understanding of the mission and values of the Church of Sweden

· Higher education in landscape management, environmental management, horticulture, or similar, or through experience

· Personnel responsibility with leadership experience

· Experience in finance and budget responsibility

· Knowledge of the regulations governing burial services

· Knowledge and experience in work environment management (SAM/OSA)

· Service-oriented and responsive to parishioners and employees

· Ability to handle complex issues and make decisions

· A passionate interest in sustainable development, nature conservation, and cultural heritage

· Ability to collaborate across administrative boundaries within the parish

Experience in burial services or green space management is an advantage, but we place great emphasis on personal suitability.

· Be part of the management group together with the parish priest, financial manager, property manager, HR, and operational managers within the parish operations

Other

The position involves travel between our cemeteries and meetings in various locations within our parish.

Location: Bredåkra, Ronneby municipality, full-time 100%
