About the position

As a designer, you work according to and follow Uppsala Vatten's internal project process. You are responsible for carrying out the planning of the planned renewal or expansion of the water and sewage pipeline network. The tasks include, among others:

• Prepare documents according to project guidelines and technical manuals
• Create project plans
• Manage deviations/change notifications
• Calculate dimensions of water and sewage facilities
• Draw/design in CAD
• Control via Pipeline Check
• If necessary, call on contractors/services from framework agreements
• Participate during production for document revisions
• Write final reports and archive documents according to procedures
• Internal and external contacts, e.g., with municipalities, property owners, and authorities

As a designer, you have a broad role where you take on significant responsibility for complex projects within the planned renewal and expansion of the water and sewage pipeline network.

You will become part of our team of designers, consisting of eight employees working with project planning and construction management. Within the group, there is good cohesion and camaraderie. You report to the group manager and have your workplace in our newly renovated premises in Uppsala Business Park, with the possibility of remote work.

Qualifications

• Education in project planning or equivalent education
• About three years of work experience as a pipeline designer
• Experience with CAD, AutoCAD, and Novapoint
• Training in BAS P is an asset
• Experience with ABK09 and AB04 is an asset

Other information

A large part of our operations is classified as critical infrastructure since we supply Sweden's fourth largest city with drinking water. For this position, a security check with a background check will be conducted before employment. You should also be prepared to be assigned to a war role within the framework of Uppsala Vatten and Waste's role in total defense. Uppsala Vatten applies a 6-month probationary period.
